Rainbow breath is a performance where the participants shift between personal and collective, stillness and movement, closed and open eyes, between realities. Breath being the first movement, the bridge between.
The work is still a work in progress, and is part of my artistic research and investigation on consciousness, mind, concentration and participatory movement practices. Performance was made in a process of several workshops that participants from different backgrounds were practicing concentration, visualization and movement practices, searching for agreements and strategies for shared, egalitarian, collective movement.
The costumes of the performance are made from recycled vintage fabrics, that I have dyed with plants collected from Finland and different vegetables and food waste, then painted with earth minerals.
