The work is based on a workshop held during an art residency in 2019 in Mornac-Sur-Seudre, France, with a group of performance art students from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris. The workshop consisted of a dream group session loosely based on the dream group process by American psychoanalyst Montague Ullman, where one group member shares their dream with the rest of the group. The participants proceeded to research the dream with improvisation sessions using movement and voice. The video also includes footage of other improvisation sessions carried out during the residency, on previous and following days of the workshop and the dream. The work reflects the continuous cycle and interrelation of our experiences and reactions in an awake state and a dream state.
